CIA 'Boot Camps' at Canandaigua center

CANANDAIGUA, NY -- Any foodies who want to combine the autumn beauty of the Finger Lakes with intensified professional cooking lessons will like this one.

The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) of Hyde Park, in partnership with the New York Wine & Culinary Center here, is offering a pair of five-day culinary immersion classes this fall.

The CIA's "Culinary Boot Camp – Basic Training at the NYWCC" will be held September 12-16, Class size is limited to 16.

The second event is the "CIA World Cuisine Boot Camp," to be held October 17–21. It, too is limited to 16 students.

Each class will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Participants will receive two chef's uniforms, each with a jacket, pants, and a neckerchief. Paper chef's hats, side towels, and aprons will be provided in class. Participants will dine two evenings in the NYWCC restaurant.

The tuition for each class is $2,195. Reservations may be made online or by calling (800) 888-7850 or going online.
