Mobile martinis and merlot in the park

Pera photo.
NEW YORK -- What is yellow, serves Turkish-style tacos, offers 190 different wines and has four wheels?

The Pera Turkish Taco Truck, of course, which I believe is the first food truck in New York to be licensed to sell beer, wine and cocktails.

The one-year license requires that all such beverages must be consumed in an enclosed seating area outside the space formerly occupied by the late, lamented Tavern on the Green in Central Park, where the truck is parked.

The taco truck is owned by Pera Mediterranean Brasserie, 303 Madison Avenue in Manhattan.
