Rochester brewery adds tasting room

ROCHESTER, NY -- The Rohrbach Brewing Company has opened a new tasting room in its 97 Railroad Street brewery location.

The 1,500 square-foot space includes a tasting bar with seating for 50 and standing room that can accommodate up to 100. Owner John Urlaub plans to use the space for events and private parties, which can be catered by his Buffalo Road brewpub operation.

The brewery is offering a new tour schedule on Saturdays, beginning on the hour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The tour cost $5, which includes a coupon for 10% off the purchase of merchandise or growlers of beer.
